8 To do this:

10 1. Tick the **Activate data entry** box.

12 1*. **Named** to select a database connection from the drop-down list (if it is already configured)

14 create a new one by clicking on the **+** button.
15 1*. **Parameterized** to use a connection to a database that has been set up. See the [[Configured connection to a database>>doc:Digdash.user_guide.studio.Create_datamodel.Data_connection.Connect_datasource_database.dynamic_connection.WebHome]] page for more details.
16 1. Click **Test** to check the connection.
17 1. Click **Save** to confirm.

21 * Enter the user and password defined when the database was created.
22 * The name defined in the **Connection name **field is the one that will appear in the database selection drop-down list.
